Malawi Strengthens Commitment to Africa’s Digital Future with ATU Ratification
This ratification brings the ATU "a step closer to universal ratification among all 52 Member States," according to the Union.
In a significant step towards accelerating Africa’s digital transformation, Her Excellency Mrs. Callista Jennie Mutharika, High Commissioner of the Republic of Malawi to the Republic of Kenya, presented Malawi’s instruments of ratification of the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) Constitution and Convention to the Union at the Malawi High Commission in Nairobi.
This ratification brings the ATU “a step closer to universal ratification among all 52 Member States,” according to the Union. The ATU commended the leadership of the Malawian government for this move.
The Union also issued a renewed call to all remaining Member States, urging them to finalize their own ratification processes. This collective effort is crucial for the ATU’s mission to accelerate digital transformation across the African continent.
