Audrin Mathe Reappointed as Executive Director of Namibia’s ICT Ministry

The Government of Namibia has confirmed the reappointment of Audrin Mathe as Executive Director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT ) for a second term.
The announcement was made by Secretary to Cabinet Emilia Mkusa, who stated that Mathe will continue to serve in the role for the next five years, with his new term officially beginning on 1 November 2025.
Mathe’s leadership has been central to several ongoing digital transformation initiatives in Namibia, including efforts to expand rural connectivity, improve digital governance, and support innovation in the ICT sector.
His reappointment signals continuity in Namibia’s national ICT strategy, as the ministry continues to align with broader continental goals of accelerating digital inclusion and building resilient infrastructure.
