Hon. Samuel Nartey George Named Public Sector Digital Leader of the Year

Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations , Ghana, has been named Public Sector Digital Leader of the Year at the 14th edition of the Digital Innovation Awards, held at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

The prestigious event, often referred to as the “Oscars” of Africa’s ICT and innovation space, recognized the Minister’s outstanding leadership and impact in advancing Ghana’s digital transformation agenda. His role in driving key national initiatives around digital infrastructure, e-governance, and tech-driven innovation earned him top honours among public sector leaders across the continent.

Formerly known as the Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA) , the Digital Innovation Awards has expanded its scope to become a prominent Pan-African platform celebrating excellence in innovation, digital policy, and technological advancement across sectors.

This recognition underscores Ghana’s growing leadership role in Africa’s digital economy and affirms the country’s commitment to leveraging technology for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
