July 9, 2025
1 min read

This expansion provides residents and businesses with access to high-speed, low-latency broadband internet, particularly beneficial in areas where traditional terrestrial infrastructure may be limited or less reliable.

Starlink , the satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, has officially commenced operations in Qatar, marking a significant advancement in the nation’s digital infrastructure.

With its launch, Starlink has also unveiled its pricing structure for the Qatari market. Customers can subscribe to the Residential Lite service for QAR 220 per month. The essential Starlink Standard Kit is priced at QAR 1,500. A range of accessories is also available, including a Pivot Mount for QAR 210, a Wall Mount for QAR 180, and a Pipe Adapter for QAR 80.

This expansion provides residents and businesses with access to high-speed, low-latency broadband internet, particularly beneficial in areas where traditional terrestrial infrastructure may be limited or less reliable. The introduction of accessible pricing options supports Qatar’s broader efforts to strengthen its digital infrastructure and expand connectivity solutions.

The arrival of Starlink adds a new competitor to the internet service provider market and is expected to play a key role in accelerating the country’s digital transformation agenda.
