Huawei and Kenya’s ICT Authority Strengthen Public-Private Collaboration in Tech Training

The collaboration aims to equip Kenya's workforce with the advanced skills necessary to drive innovation and contribute to the nation's digital transformation.

The ICT Authority , in partnership with Huawei,  hosted the PDTP Cohort IX Huawei Training and Certification Ceremony at the University of Nairobi, celebrating the achievements of young professionals in critical technology fields. The event underscored the importance of continuous skill development in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The ceremony highlighted two key certification tracks: Network & Cybersecurity and Cloud & AI, reflecting the growing demand for expertise in these areas. The collaboration aims to equip Kenya’s workforce with the advanced skills necessary to drive innovation and contribute to the nation’s digital transformation.

During the event, Adam Lane, Deputy CEO of Government Affairs at Huawei Kenya, shared an inspiring message with the graduates:

“At Huawei, we want to hire the talent we’ve trained. But to thrive, and even teach the teachers, aim to go as high as you can. Keep upgrading your skills and always bring your best self.”
