Pan African Towers Appoints Osi Echezona Russell as CEO to Lead Next Phase of Growth

This leadership change underscores Pan African Towers' commitment to strengthening its position in the telecom infrastructure space and delivering increased value to customers and stakeholders across Nigeria.

Pan African Towers Â has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Osi Echezona Russell as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1st, 2025, signaling a new phase of strategic leadership and growth for the company.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Board Chairman Adefolarin Ogunsanya, who expressed the board’s full confidence in Russell’s leadership capacity:

“We are delighted to announce Osi Echezona Russell as the new Chief Executive Officer of PAT. We are confident in his strategic acumen, and we believe that his vision and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in guiding the Pan African Towers’ next phase of growth and transformation.”

Russell brings a wealth of experience from the telecommunications sector. He previously served as Head of Network Deployment at Airtel Nigeria and held key executive roles including Operations Director and Chief Technical Information Officer at MIC Tanzania, and Chief Technology Officer at IPT PowerTech Nigeria, Rhino Niger Networks, and Biswal Nigeria.

His academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and Business Analytics.

With a proven track record in network expansion, technology innovation, operational efficiency, and executive leadership, Russell is poised to lead PAT through its next era of development. He is expected to work closely with the Board of Directors and the executive management team to ensure continuity, enhanced service delivery, and alignment with PAT’s long-term strategic goals.

This leadership change underscores Pan African Towers’ commitment to strengthening its position in the telecom infrastructure space and delivering increased value to customers and stakeholders across Nigeria.
