The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) celebrated the graduation of 1,300 interns from the third batch of its flagship “Artificial Intelligence Ambassadors” program. The initiative, organized in collaboration with the Engineers for Sustainable Egypt Foundation, is the largest national program aimed at empowering non-specialists with practical knowledge of artificial intelligence and fostering a culture of AI adoption across various sectors.
The graduation ceremony took place at NTI’s headquarters in Egypt’s new administrative capital and was attended by Professor Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Institute of Communications, and Eng. Mohammed Kamel, President of the Engineers for Sustainable Egypt Foundation, alongside 15 leaders from both institutions.
The AI Ambassadors program is designed to help a broad segment of Egyptians harness the power of artificial intelligence in their professional environments. Participants received 36 hours of interactive training along with a month-long practical project totaling 4 hours of application time, equipping them with essential AI competencies. The curriculum included modules on AI fundamentals, data analysis basics, ethical use of AI, emerging trends, and common workplace challenges.
The program, which targets non-specialists, provides participants with the skills to understand and apply AI tools to increase efficiency and innovation in their respective industries.
With this latest batch, the AI Ambassadors initiative has successfully trained 2,610 individuals across its first three phases, reinforcing Egypt’s strategic focus on digital capacity-building and future-proofing its workforce.
NTI and the Engineers for Sustainable Egypt Foundation reiterated their commitment to expanding the program in future cycles to reach more citizens and further embed AI capabilities across Egypt’s workforce.
