Morocco Forges Strategic Alliance with Onepoint to Establish Landmark Data & AI Hub
The agreement establishes a new Center of Excellence in the fields of Data and Artificial Intelligence, a key initiative under the national digital strategy "Digital Morocco 2030" and a boost to the country's burgeoning technological dynamism.

Morocco took a significant step forward in its digital transformation journey with the signing of a protocol of agreement between the Moroccan government and the Onepoint group . The agreement establishes a new Center of Excellence in the fields of Data and Artificial Intelligence, a key initiative under the national digital strategy “Digital Morocco 2030” and a boost to the country’s burgeoning technological dynamism.
The signing ceremony, held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, saw the presence of several high-ranking officials. Minister Amal Al-Falah Al-Sagroshny, Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, headed the delegation, joined by Mr. Riyadh Mazour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Karim Zidane, Minister Assigned for Investment, Prevention and Public Policy Evaluation, and Mr. Ali Siddiqui, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Exports Development. Representing Onepoint was its Founder President, Mr. David Layani.
 “The creation of the Center of Excellence in Data and Artificial Intelligence is a concrete answer to the technological and economic challenges of our time. This center will contribute to strengthening our national capabilities, stimulating innovation, and updating the public facilities, I added that it is a project that reflects our commitment to making Morocco a leader in the digital field, by valuing our national competencies and ensuring digital sovereignty, which is a cornerstone for our sustainable development.”

The future hub is designed to provide the Kingdom with strategic infrastructure in data and AI, which will foster the emergence of a development model based on collective intelligence, technological mastery, and operational performance in service of national priorities. This initiative is expected to contribute to strengthening national innovation capabilities, supporting the upgrade of public services, and facilitating the transformation of the industrial fabric towards more resilient, competitive, and sustainable models.
The ambitious investment project is projected to create over 500 highly skilled jobs by 2029 and will involve a wide network of public and private stakeholders. Set to be established in the Casablanca-Settat region, the center aims to become a reference pole for research and development, and for the domestication of artificial intelligence solutions designed and operated on national soil. This project prominently highlights governmental priorities centered on valuing human capital, digitizing services, and achieving digital sovereignty.
