Zimbabwe’s ICT Ministry Donates Starlink Kits to Boost Rural Connectivity
The move supports Zimbabwe’s e-government strategy and aligns with national goals under NDS1 to bridge the digital divide.

The Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services in Zimbabwe has officially handed over Starlink internet kits to the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works. The donation, announced at the Harare International Conference Centre, aims to connect local authorities—particularly in rural districts—with high-speed satellite internet.
ICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera said the initiative reinforces internet access as a basic service, ensuring no community is left behind. Minister Daniel Garwe praised the donation as a major step toward decentralised, data-driven governance.
