The Ministry of Digital Economy, Digitalization and Innovation marked a significant stride in Gabon’s national digitalization strategy on Monday, July 28, 2025, with the official handover of computer and technical equipment to health facilities participating in Phase 2 of the Health Information System (SIS).

The ceremony was led by Mr. Mark Alexandre Doumba, Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalization and Innovation, and represents a key step in aligning with His Excellency Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema vision, Head of State, Head of Government, whose goal is to Sustainably modernize the National Health Information System for more efficient, safer and coordinated patient care.

Present at the event were Professor Adrien MOUGOUGOU, the Minister of Health, and M. Alberto Wenceslas MOUNGUENGUI MOUDOKI, the Director General of the ANINF (National Digital Infrastructure and Frequency Agency). This collective effort underscores the government’s commitment to interconnecting public services for the benefit of its citizens.

“This concrete progress is fully part of the priorities set by the Head of State to ensure fair, modern and efficient access to essential public services, especially in the field of health.”
