The initiative is a key part of the government's Digital Nation strategy and is designed to support and empower young entrepreneurs in the country and its diaspora.

The government of Cape Verde  has officially launched the National Startups and Digital Business Acceleration Program, known as BOOST. CV. The initiative is a key part of the government’s Digital Nation strategy and is designed to support and empower young entrepreneurs in the country and its diaspora.

BOOST. CV aims to create a significant impact by fostering a strong startup ecosystem. The program is part of a broader set of initiatives that include the Startup Act—legislation designed to simplify business and attract investment—and the Morabeza Fund, an innovative $24 million fund to support tech startups led by youth and women.

The government emphasized that the program is not just a tool but a public policy instrument to create real impact. By placing youth at the center of the new development agenda, Cape Verde intends to leverage its local and diaspora talent as its most valuable resource. The goal is to transform the country into a digital bridge between Africa, Europe, and America.

The launch, held at TechPark, a hub for digital solutions, solidifies Cape Verde’s ambition to be a living laboratory of digital innovation. The government’s message to young people is, don’t walk alone, and to the diaspora, come back, even if virtually, to support the next generation. The initiative is a country-wide project, and officials stated that no one will be left out.
