The project in Sikonge is part of TTCL's larger strategy to extend the national communication network to all parts of the country, ensuring that both urban and rural Tanzanians can access the opportunities of the digital world.

The Tanzania Communications Organization (TTCL)  has been recognized by the Freedom Light Race (Mwenge wa Uhuru Race 2025) for its efforts in providing communication services across the country. This recognition is a show of support for the Sixth Phase Government’s agenda of creating a Digital Tanzania.

The leader of the National Mwenge Race, Brother Ismail Ali Ussi, offered the commendation during a foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of the National Mkongo Station in the Sikonge District of Tabora Province. In his statement, Brother Ussi said,

“We congratulate TTCL for the great work they are doing in connecting Tanzanians through good communication services. This center will be an important catalyst for social and economic development.”
