This initiative is a key part of the Commissioner-General of Police's strategy to modernize the force.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)  is enhancing its use of technology in law enforcement, with 27 police officers graduating as certified drone pilots. The graduation ceremony took place at the ZRP Sports Club. This initiative is a key part of the Commissioner-General of Police’s strategy to modernize the force.

The Commissioner-General’s vision includes the implementation of an Electronic Traffic Management System and the use of technology to improve crime management. The new drone pilot program is a tangible step towards achieving this goal, as the force continues to adopt modern methods to boost its operational capabilities.
