The connectivity played a vital role in enabling real-time interaction between delegates, media, and virtual participants around the globe.

As part of its ongoing commitment to national development, youth empowerment, and digital transformation, Telecom Namibia  proudly sponsored high-speed connectivity for two key events shaping the future of education and innovation in Namibia.

Supporting Global Youth Dialogue

In a significant show of support for international collaboration and youth engagement, Telecom Namibia provided dedicated internet connectivity for the 1st Commonwealth Youth Consultative Dialogue, hosted by the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture. Held at the Windhoek Country Club from 4 -8 August 2025, the event brings together youth representatives from all 56 Commonwealth countries to engage in policy discussions and development initiatives aimed at addressing shared global challenges.

Telecom Namibia’s sponsorship included a 100Mbps dedicated internet line, ensuring seamless live streaming and webcasting of the dialogue sessions. The connectivity played a vital role in enabling real-time interaction between delegates, media, and virtual participants around the globe.

Enabling AI-Driven Learning in Lüderitz

In another landmark initiative, Telecom Namibia also supported the YYeni AI Lüderitz Pilot, a cutting-edge, five-month research project launched in July 2025 at the Lüderitz Secondary School.

The project seeks to develop a scalable blueprint for AI-assisted learning in Namibia’s public education system by integrating artificial intelligence tutoring with traditional teacher-led instruction. The ultimate aim, endorsed by the Ministry of Education, is to expand the model to 25 schools and 2,500 learners by 2026. Telecom Namibia provided connectivity support for the pilot.

“Telecom Namibia is proud to contribute to initiatives that empower young people and advance digital innovation. Whether connecting youth from around the world or helping to shape the future of AI in education, our goal is to enable progress through reliable, high-speed connectivity.”

Dr. Stanley Shanapinda, CEO, Telecom Namibia

These sponsorships form part of Telecom Namibia’s broader commitment to bridging the digital divide, fostering innovation, and building a connected, knowledge-driven society.
