August 8, 2025
1 min read

More than just a training program, the camp is focused on nurturing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—abilities that are increasingly essential in the modern digital landscape.

The Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy  has kicked off its Build-A-Thon Holiday Camp in three major cities: Abuja, Abeokuta, and Kano. This hands-on technology program is designed to introduce young Nigerians aged 10 to 18 to critical digital skills.

Participants are getting a firsthand look at the world of technology, with sessions covering the fundamentals of coding, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). More than just a training program, the camp is focused on nurturing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—abilities that are increasingly essential in the modern digital landscape.

The ministry acknowledged its partners for their support in making the initiative a reality, stating that their collective efforts are “laying the foundation for a generation of tech-savvy problem solvers ready to shape Nigeria’s digital future.” The program is part of a broader government strategy to build a pipeline of technical talent, aligning with initiatives to position Nigeria as a leader in the global digital economy.
