Author: Kay-Lyne Wolfenden

The initiative aims to provide women-led tech ventures with the necessary tools, networks, and funding to scale their businesses.

Applications are now open for the Female Funding Fit Programme, a six-month accelerator designed to support women founders in South Africa. The program is a partnership between WomHub,  a pan-African incubator for women in STEM, and the French Embassy in South Africa.

The initiative aims to provide women-led tech ventures with the necessary tools, networks, and funding to scale their businesses. Eligible participants are female founders of tech-enabled businesses who are ready to pursue growth. The accelerator is focused on preparing these ventures for investment and will offer a range of benefits.

Participants in the program will have the potential to receive €10,000 in catalytic funding for one selected founder. They will also benefit from a six-month curriculum focused on investment readiness, personal development, and individual mentoring and financial coaching. The program also provides access to WomHub’s innovation spaces located in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and East London, as well as exposure to a network of investors and collaborators to support business growth and scalability. The application deadline is Thursday, August 21, 2025.
