Namibia’s ICT Ministry Announces Mega Hackathon to Boost Digital Government Services

The hackathon will focus on developing solutions for government performance management systems, registration portals, and learning management systems, fostering technology-driven improvements in public service delivery.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT ) has announced plans to host a Mega Hackathon on 15 October 2025, aimed at driving innovation to enhance access, efficiency, and accountability in government services.

Minister of ICT, Emma Theofelus, revealed the initiative during a fundraising event held on Thursday in Windhoek. The hackathon will focus on developing solutions for government performance management systems, registration portals, and learning management systems, fostering technology-driven improvements in public service delivery.
