The program offers courses in Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals, Data Science Fundamentals, Programming Fundamentals, and Android Developer Fundamentals.

The Government of Eswatini, in partnership with the Government of the United Arab Emirates, has launched the Udacity Coding Program that will provide free digital skills training to 300,000 emaSwati. The initiative was officially launched by the Minister of ICT, Hon. Savannah Maziya, and marks a major step in the country’s digital transformation journey.

The program offers courses in Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals, Data Science Fundamentals, Programming Fundamentals, and Android Developer Fundamentals. It is designed to foster creativity, problem-solving, and resilience while equipping participants with certificates of completion that can open doors to advanced training and employment opportunities.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Maziya emphasized the broader vision of the initiative:

“This partnership is not only about digital skills training, but about opening doors to global opportunities, doors that may have once felt too far away.”

– Hon. Savannah Maziya, Minister of ICT, Eswatini

To ensure the program’s nationwide success, the Minister called on Internet Service Providers to zero-rate or subsidize data for learners in remote areas, and encouraged private sector players and donors to support device sponsorship, digital labs, and mentorship opportunities. Community leaders, together with the Ministry of Education and Training, were also urged to transform schools, halls, and community centers into hubs of digital learning.

The initiative is expected to play a pivotal role in positioning Eswatini as a digitally empowered nation ready to participate fully in the global digital economy.

Registration for the program is open via this website .
