Vodacom Lesotho has announced major upgrades to its network and systems as part of its ongoing commitment to enhance customer experience. The improvements, which integrate cutting-edge technology, will deliver clearer voice calls, faster and more reliable data speeds, wider coverage including underserved areas, and greater network resilience.
Customers may notice temporary fluctuations in connectivity during the upgrade process, but the company emphasized that the enhancements are essential to ensure a high-quality and future-ready service.
The announcement follows the recent visit of Vodacom Group CEO, Shameel Joosub, to Lesotho, where he met with Prime Minister Sam Matekane to reaffirm Vodacom’s commitment to the country’s digital transformation. During the visit, Joosub pledged continued investment to boost the economy through improved connectivity, facilitate government online payments for public services, and support youth empowerment by providing free digital skills training in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Joosub also addressed Vodacom Lesotho employees, outlining the Group’s 2030 strategic vision, which prioritizes community investment, sustainability, customer satisfaction, expanded connectivity, and broader access to mobile money services.
This dual focus on network upgrades and long-term strategic investment highlights Vodacom’s role as a key driver of Lesotho’s digital future.
