According to the regulator, a total of seventy-eight companies currently hold valid authorisations to deliver internet and data services across various categories, including Internet and Public Data Service, Internet and Public Data Service (Rural), and Internet Hotspot.

The National Communications Authority (NCA ) has released its updated list of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Public Data Service Providers authorised to operate in Ghana as at the second quarter of 2025.

According to the regulator, a total of seventy-eight companies currently hold valid authorisations to deliver internet and data services across various categories, including Internet and Public Data Service, Internet and Public Data Service (Rural), and Internet Hotspot. ISP authorisations remain valid for five years, with providers required to maintain compliance to continue operations. Entities may operate on licensed or unlicensed frequency bands, while hotspot operators are restricted to coverage within three administrative districts unless they apply for full ISP authorisation.

The NCA noted that thirty-eight companies under the Internet and Public Data Service category are currently operational, while thirty-five remain inactive. One Rural ISP licence has been issued but is yet to commence operations, while four Internet Hotspot providers are all active. In total, forty-two service providers are operational, with thirty-six listed as inactive.

Among the notable companies actively delivering internet services are Dynamic Data Solutions Limited, Ecoband Networks Limited, SP Echo Ghana Limited (Africa Online), Iklick Communications Limited, Opin Technologies Ghana Limited, Tizeti Network Ghana Limited, E-Connecta Limited, Comsys Ghana Limited, MainOne Cable Company Ghana Limited, Teledata ICT Limited, Vodacom Business Ghana Limited, K-Net Limited, and Datacom Telecom Limited.

The NCA further explained that applications for Internet and Public Data Service authorisations may also require spectrum allocation, attracting additional fees separate from the regulatory licence fee. By publishing the updated list, the Authority aims to enhance transparency in Ghana’s telecom sector and provide clarity to the public on the entities licensed to provide internet and data services nationwide. The full list of authorised ISPs, along with their operational status and contact details, has been made available on the NCA’s official website .
