SDAIA President Hails Launch of HUMAIN Chat, Saudi Arabia’s Flagship Arabic AI App
He stated that this national achievement is part of the Kingdom's efforts to become a leader in data and AI technologies, in line with the vision to make Saudi Arabia a top data and AI-based economy.
Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA ) President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi has praised the launch of HUMAIN Chat, a new AI app powered by the ALLAM 34B. Developed by HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, the app is a major Saudi project aimed at creating a reliable digital future for the Arabic language.
Alghamdi explained that the project reflects the interest of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and HUMAIN Chairman, in enriching the internet with Arabic content. He stated that this national achievement is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to become a leader in data and AI technologies, in line with the vision to make Saudi Arabia a top data and AI-based economy.
He noted that with the scarcity of reliable Arabic content online, HUMAIN Chat will serve as an open-access resource to promote and preserve the Arabic language. The app will not only enhance the digital presence of Arabic but also help non-Arabic speakers learn the language by engaging with its rich cultural and religious content, particularly its connection to the Holy Quran.
Alghamdi emphasized that HUMAIN Chat is unique in its technology and content, having been developed by highly qualified Saudi men and women with specialized education in computer science. He invited everyone to use the application and contribute to its development to make it the world’s leading Arabic AI.
