According to Microsoft, traffic has not been interrupted as it has been rerouted through alternate network paths.

Microsoft Azure has issued a notification that network traffic traversing the Middle East may experience increased latency following undersea fiber cuts in the Red Sea. The issue began at 05:45 UTC on 6 September 2025.

According to Microsoft, traffic has not been interrupted as it has been rerouted through alternate network paths. However, some users may notice higher latency on traffic that normally passes through the affected Middle East routes. Traffic that does not traverse the Middle East remains unaffected.

Microsoft has committed to providing daily updates on the situation or sooner if conditions change. The latest update was issued at 19:52 UTC on 7 September 2025.
