Chad’s Regulator Launches 15th National Audit on Mobile Network Quality
The regulator emphasized that the audit aims not only to push operators to improve service delivery but also to restore consumer confidence in the country’s mobile networks.

The Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority of Chad (ARCEP) has launched its 15th National Service Quality Audit (QoS) in response to widespread consumer complaints over deteriorating mobile network performance.
For months, subscribers across the country have faced frequent call failures, slow internet, and persistent service outages, despite repeated regulatory reminders and operators’ pledges to invest in improvements.
The audit, conducted with support from an independent international consultancy, will cover all 23 provincial capitals as well as several transit routes. Its objectives include verifying operators’ compliance with contractual obligations, assessing progress since previous audits, and measuring the actual quality of service delivered to users.
ARCEP stressed that this exercise is more than a technical review, describing it as a “strong signal” to operators that commitments outlined in their licenses are binding, not optional.
The regulator emphasized that the audit aims not only to push operators to improve service delivery but also to restore consumer confidence in the country’s mobile networks.
The nationwide assessment begins this week and will run until October 2025, with findings expected to guide decisive regulatory measures in the interest of millions of Chadian users.
