Nazia Pillay Named Managing Director of SAP Southern Africa
Under her leadership, SAP will continue to focus on enabling digital transformation, cost optimisation, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as cloud and artificial intelligence.
SAP has appointed Nazia Pillay as its new Managing Director for Southern Africa, taking leadership at a pivotal time for the region’s IT industry. With technology advancing rapidly and businesses facing mounting economic pressures, Pillay said SAP’s priority is to act as a strategic partner to its customers rather than just a technology provider.
Under her leadership, SAP will continue to focus on enabling digital transformation, cost optimisation, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as cloud and artificial intelligence. Skills development is also central to the company’s agenda, with initiatives like the Educate to Employ programme in partnership with UNICEF, and the Young Professionals Program, designed to prepare Africa’s youth for careers in technology while supporting job creation.
Reflecting on her career, Pillay – who has spent her entire professional journey at SAP – described her appointment as both a privilege and a responsibility, pledging to continue fostering customer-centric partnerships and talent development in the region.
