Tunisia and Palestine Deepen Cooperation in ICT and Postal Sectors

Tunisia and Palestine have taken steps to deepen collaboration in the digital sphere following a high-level meeting between the Tunisian Minister of Communication Technology, Sofiene Hemissi, and the Palestinian Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Huda Alwahidi. The meeting took place on the evening of September 9, 2025, in Tunis.
Discussions focused on advancing cooperation in information and communication technologies as well as the postal sector. Key areas included training and skills development, as well as fostering partnerships between Tunisian start-ups and their Palestinian counterparts.
The Tunisian minister reaffirmed the country’s longstanding support for the Palestinian cause in global forums, particularly within organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union and the Universal Postal Union. Tunisia also extended an invitation to the Palestinian delegation to participate in upcoming technology events hosted in the country.
The meeting was also attended by Ramy Al-Qadoumi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Tunisia, underscoring the diplomatic and cooperative ties between the two nations.
