Algeria to Sign Framework Agreement Linking Youth Empowerment and Digital Transformation

The Algerian Ministry of Postal and Wire Transport and the Ministry of Youth have agreed to strengthen collaboration in support of national priorities for digital transformation and youth empowerment.

In a meeting held between Minister of Postal and Wire Transport Syed Ali Zarouqi and Minister of Youth Mustafa Hidawi, both sides emphasized the need for deeper inter-sectoral coordination that combines technological expertise with the creative potential of young people.

Discussions focused on expanding cooperation into new areas, particularly those linked to digital transformation, youth entrepreneurship, and the development of high-quality programs aimed at fostering innovation. The ministries highlighted the importance of practical projects that leverage the digital and technological resources of the communications sector while channeling the energy and skills of Algeria’s youth.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to accelerate preparations for the signing of a formal framework agreement. This step is seen as a strategic move to consolidate youth as essential partners in Algeria’s digital future, ensuring their capabilities contribute meaningfully to the country’s transformation agenda.
