Over 1,400 students earned international digital badges from NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) during their training, in line with MCIT’s vision to qualify talent in the latest AI technologies.

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA ) and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI ) have honoured 100 top-performing students from the first phase of the Summer Training Program, an upgraded nationwide initiative designed to equip 10,000 students with cutting-edge tech skills.

The program is part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s (MCIT ) broader strategy to cultivate a new generation of specialists in advanced technologies and expand Egypt’s digital talent pool, reinforcing the country’s position as a leading regional and global hub for ICT and offshoring services. It reflects ITIDA and NTI’s commitment to building Egypt’s human capital by empowering undergraduates across different governorates with in-demand competencies.

Through specialized tracks, the program combines technical expertise with freelancing and soft skills development, ensuring students stay aligned with the rapid advancements in the ICT sector. It covers eight core areas: software development, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, electronics, digital arts, and systems management.

During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were awarded to top-performing students, alongside recognition of those who earned Huawei’s HCCDA-Tech Essentials certification in cloud computing. The event also featured interactive sessions focused on developing soft skills and career planning.

On the sidelines of the event, ITIDA organized a tour for students at Smart Village, where they visited the headquarters of global and local companies such as Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS), Brightskies, and SEITech Solutions to closely explore workplace environments.

Launched in June, the current edition has so far trained 6,125 students nationwide, including 2,220 in Greater Cairo, 2,785 in the Delta and Northern governorates, 905 in Upper Egypt, and 215 in the Canal governorates, with approximately 4,000 more students currently enrolled. Training is delivered in hybrid formats, either at NTI’s premises in Creativa Innovation Hubs and online, ensuring equal access for students nationwide.

Furthermore, over 1,400 students earned international digital badges from NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) during their training, in line with MCIT’s vision to qualify talent in the latest AI technologies.
