Egypt’s NTRA and NCPD Partner to Boost Digital Services for Persons with Disabilities
The protocol reflects the state’s commitment to empowering and integrating PwDs into the digital society.
The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) to enhance the digital services provided to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
The protocol reflects the state’s commitment to empowering and integrating PwDs into the digital society. It aims to activate joint mechanisms designed to improve telecom services delivered to them in Egypt.
As part of the protocol, cooperation will be reinforced through exchanging expertise and coordinating efforts to deliver telecom services to PwDs in line with the latest international standards. It also includes launching joint awareness campaigns and workshops, in addition to establishing an effective mechanism for addressing complaints related to different types of disabilities, particularly persons with hearing and visual impairments, ensuring improved service quality and diversity.
