1 min read

The tender, published on September 10, 2025, calls for the supply of smartphones, power banks, and solar chargers to be distributed to Fokontany leaders and Chefs of Administrative Districts (CAA) nationwide.

Madagascar’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and Posts (MNDPT) has announced the launch of a public tender under the Digital and Energy Connectivity for Inclusion in Madagascar (DECIM) project, supported by the World Bank.

The tender, published on September 10, 2025, calls for the supply of smartphones, power banks, and solar chargers to be distributed to Fokontany leaders and Chefs of Administrative Districts (CAA) nationwide. The initiative aims to strengthen digital connectivity and equip local administrative officials, particularly in remote areas, with essential technological tools to improve service delivery.

According to the notice, the procurement will be divided into three geographical lots, with bids to be submitted in person at the DECIM Project Coordinating Unit in Antananarivo no later than November 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Online submissions will not be accepted.

The DECIM project, co-financed by the World Bank, seeks to expand access to both digital and energy services across Madagascar, fostering inclusion and supporting local governance.

Interested companies can access the full technical specifications, eligibility requirements, and submission procedures on the official DECIM website .
