The platform is designed to transform waste into a valuable resource, incentivize businesses and industries to participate in recycling efforts, and accelerate the country’s transition toward a waste-to-value economy.

Beeah Group , in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE ), has officially launched Tahweel, the UAE’s first national waste exchange platform. The initiative was unveiled in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, marking a major milestone in advancing the nation’s circular economy agenda.

The agreement establishing the platform was signed by Eng. Alya Abdul Rahim Al Harmoudi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Sustainable Communities Sector at MOCCAE, and Fahad Shehail, CEO of Environment at Beeah. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability in waste management across the UAE.

Powered by Beeah’s digital venture re.life, Tahweel will serve as a transparent marketplace for trading recyclables nationwide. The platform is designed to transform waste into a valuable resource, incentivize businesses and industries to participate in recycling efforts, and accelerate the country’s transition toward a waste-to-value economy.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO at Beeah, described the launch as a commitment to “innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.” He emphasized that by aligning with government, industry, and society, Beeah and MOCCAE are supporting the UAE’s long-term vision for a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable future.

“For BEEAH, this is a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. By working hand in hand with government, industry, and society, we are aligning with the UAE’s vision for a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable future. We appreciate our partnership with MOCCAE as we work together to advance circularity and sustainability across the UAE, shaping a stronger, greener future.”

-Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO, Beeah

The launch of Tahweel highlights the UAE’s proactive approach to circularity and environmental stewardship, positioning the country as a regional leader in waste-to-value transformation.
