Senegal Advances Digital Governance with New Interoperability Platform
The platform is designed to enable ministries, public agencies, and private organizations to exchange data securely and efficiently, offering citizens and businesses faster, more reliable, and more accessible services.
The Senegalese government is advancing its data exchange interoperability platform, a project officially launched on April 22, 2025, aimed at modernizing public administration and improving service delivery.
During a recent COCOOR (Coordination Committee) meeting, stakeholders reviewed the project’s progress and validated the roadmap for the next steps. The platform is designed to enable ministries, public agencies, and private organizations to exchange data securely and efficiently, offering citizens and businesses faster, more reliable, and more accessible services.
The first phase of the project, scheduled for completion by the end of December 2025, will allow vulnerable families to receive social assistance more quickly, strengthen state transparency, improve public revenue mobilization, simplify administrative procedures for citizens and businesses, and foster innovation in the digital ecosystem through secure data access.
This strategic initiative aligns with Senegal’s New Deal for Technology and the Senegal 2050 agenda, emphasizing administrative modernization, optimized public resources, and positioning the country as a leading digital hub in Africa. Interoperability is being implemented not just as a technical innovation but as a step toward more effective governance, inclusive public services, and a competitive digital economy.
