Saudi Arabia and Syria Sign MoU to Boost Health Cooperation and Digital Health Expertise

Saudi Arabia and Syria have strengthened their health partnership with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation and sharing expertise in digital health. The agreement was signed today by Saudi Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel and Syrian Minister of Health Dr. Musab Al-Ali.
The MoU is designed to support the development of a robust health system in Syria, improve access to healthcare services, and advance virtual healthcare capabilities. It also emphasizes strengthening preventive medicine and public health initiatives.
Key areas of collaboration include strategic health planning, health system rehabilitation, therapeutic services, emergency and disaster management, e-health and digital transformation, international health concerns, and health investment. The agreement also highlights training and development through expert exchanges, health programs, and the organization of conferences and workshops.
Minister AlJalajel noted that the partnership reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to regional and international health cooperation and its leadership in virtual medicine and digital transformation, reinforcing efforts to advance health systems globally.
