South Sudan Urges China-Africa Cooperation to Fast-Track Digital Transformation Roadmap
The Undersecretary who was leading the South Sudan ICT delegation to the summit, told the gathering that power and energy is still a challenge to South Sudan making it difficult to bridge the gap of digital transformation and economy.
South Sudan has challenged China-Africa Cooperation to complete the Africa Road to digital transformation. This came Friday when Telecommunication Undersecretary, Engineer Thomas Gatkuoth Nyak was addressing China-Africa summit in Ethiopian Capital Addis Ababa.
The Undersecretary who was leading the South Sudan ICT delegation to the summit, told the gathering that power and energy is still a challenge to South Sudan making it difficult to bridge the gap of digital transformation and economy.
The Undersecretary also met at the margin of the summit of Chinese telecommunication giant, HUAWEI, and discussed its experience in smart cities technologies as well its abilities in cloud technologies.
Speaking after the meeting, NCA Director General, Gieth Kon Mathiang said Huawei shared with them its experiences in Rwanda, DRC and Federal Republic of Ethiopia.
The Government, according to Mathiang, is working to complete its data center and transform the capital Juba into a smart city.
