WOLIZ Signs Deal in Morocco to Equip 90,000 Merchants with Digital Tools
The initiative will equip 20,000 neighborhood nanostores with connected terminals and extend the WOLIZ platform to 90,000 merchants nationwide.
WOLIZ has signed a framework agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Morocco to accelerate the digital transformation of the country’s retail sector. The initiative will equip 20,000 neighborhood nanostores with connected terminals and extend the WOLIZ platform to 90,000 merchants nationwide.
The program aims to empower shopkeepers—who play a vital role in local economies—by giving them access to digital tools that simplify daily operations, expand payment options, and improve financial inclusion. With these upgrades, nanostore owners will be better positioned to manage inventory, process transactions, and access new business opportunities in the digital marketplace.
According to WOLIZ, the project represents more than just technology deployment; it is part of a broader ambition to transform retail across Africa by strengthening the resilience of small merchants and unlocking opportunities for last-mile entrepreneurs.
The Morocco rollout marks the starting point of WOLIZ’s larger vision to reshape the future of neighborhood retail across the continent, fostering innovation and sustainable growth in one of Africa’s most important economic sectors.
