MTN South Sudan Brings Starlink Nationwide to Boost Digital Access
This initiative is expected to significantly boost internet penetration, support digital inclusion, and foster economic and social development across the nation.
MTN South Sudan has announced the sales and support of Starlink through or Customer Service Points and Connect Stores nationwide.
From a groundbreaking partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink in September 2024 and a subsequent authorisation by the National Communications Authority, MTN is further positioning to support a national vision of digital penetration and empowerment across South Sudan.
“This partnership with Starlink is a game-changer for South Sudan. It enables us to connect even the most remote communities with dependable internet access that can transform lives, empower businesses, and drive national development.”
– Olutayo Egunjobi, Head of Enterprise Business Unit, MTN South Sudan
Starlink’s service delivers download speeds ranging from 25 to 220 Mbps and latency between 50 and 90 milliseconds. This performance supports cloud-based applications, video streaming, and other bandwidth-intensive activities, offering a powerful alternative to existing rural connectivity options.
MTN South Sudan is pleased to encourage its valued customers to purchase Starlink kits and subscriptions exclusively through authorized MTN channels. Doing so ensures access to genuine products, reliable support, and uninterrupted service aligned with Starlink’s operational standards.
This initiative is expected to significantly boost internet penetration, support digital inclusion, and foster economic and social development across the nation.
