Konza and Riara University Partner to Drive Innovation and Digital Skills in Kenya

Konza Technopolis has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Riara University to strengthen collaboration between academia, research, and industry — a key pillar in Kenya’s journey toward a knowledge-driven economy. The agreement marks an important step in aligning education and innovation with national development priorities.
Through this partnership, the two institutions will work together to advance innovation, technology development, and digital capacity building. Their collaboration will focus on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and Agritech. It will also promote talent development and internship programs that equip learners with future-ready skills tailored to meet industry demands.
In addition, the MoU will support startup incubation and entrepreneurship programs to nurture innovators and accelerate business growth within the Konza Innovation Ecosystem. The partnership will also explore smart campus solutions and digital empowerment initiatives aimed at integrating technology into education and campus management.
Konza Technopolis emphasized that this partnership exemplifies its commitment to fostering strategic academia–industry collaboration, driving research commercialization, and empowering the next generation of innovators.
