Orange Business and Eutelsat Strengthen Crisis Connectivity with OneWeb Integration
This major step ensures sovereign, reliable, and resilient communications continuity for emergency and security services, local authorities, operators of vital importance, and essential enterprises—even in the event of power outages or terrestrial network failures.

Orange Business announces the integration of Eutelsat ’s OneWeb satellite services into its SafetyCase solution, an emergency telecommunications unit.
This major step ensures sovereign, reliable, and resilient communications continuity for emergency and security services, local authorities, operators of vital importance, and essential enterprises—even in the event of power outages or terrestrial network failures.
Designed and manufactured in France, SafetyCase units are rugged, energy autonomous telecom devices built to restore voice, data, and video on the ground in times of crisis. They instantly create one or more Wi Fi connectivity bubbles through intelligent hybridization of available networks.
SafetyCase is available in two complementary formats, adapted to each emergency context:
- “Mobile Unit”: plug and play, operational in seconds for immediate mobility needs
- “Crisis Center”: deployable by non-specialist teams in under 30 minutes, providing up to 20 hours of continuous autonomy to crisis cells or command centers
Already used during the floods in Valencia, Spain, and during Cyclone Chido in Mayotte in December 2024, SafetyCase is becoming an essential building block of French national and European resilience.Customers are now integrating it proactively into their continuity plans.
With Eutelsat’s OneWeb, the solution takes a new step forward, benefiting from the low latency and robustness of a European low earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation complementing other technologies. This partnership strengthens the sovereign nature of the solution.
“With Eutelsat’s OneWeb, we reinforce the promise of SafetyCase: restore communications when everything stops. This European, sovereign advance gives firefighters, security forces, and local authorities a decisive capability: rapidly recreating a reliable network to coordinate, treat, alert, and decide. It’s a key building block of national resilience, powered by Orange’s network excellence and our new Defense & Security Division, at the service of safety and emergency professionals.”
