In a landmark move for Kenya’s mobile industry, Safaricom PLC, in partnership with Huawei, has unveiled VybCall, the country’s first-ever Video Ring Back Tone (VRBT) service — and the first of its kind in Africa.
Building on the success of Safaricom’s popular Skiza platform, VybCall transforms the traditional ring-back tone into a visual and engaging experience, allowing callers to watch short, curated videos while waiting for their calls to connect. The service introduces a new layer of creativity and personalization to everyday mobile interactions, marking a major leap in digital innovation for Kenyan consumers.
