The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting digital innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development as part of the broader national agenda for digital transition.

The Minister of Digital Transition, Postal and Electronic Communications of Burkina Faso, Dr. Aminata Zerbo/Sabane, received a high-level delegation from Endeavour Mining Group on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The delegation was led by Mr. Souleymane Boly, Vice President of Public Affairs and Country Director of the mining company.

During the meeting, the delegation outlined Endeavour Mining’s activities and highlighted its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly those related to digital development. Mr. Boly expressed his company’s appreciation to the Government of Burkina Faso for its continuous support and reaffirmed Endeavour Mining’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s digital transformation efforts.

Both parties discussed key issues surrounding digital inclusion and capacity building, emphasizing the need to train young people—especially young women—in digital skills. This, they agreed, would help bridge the digital divide and ensure equal opportunities in the growing digital economy.

Mr. Boly commended the Ministry’s visionary approach and constructive dialogue, noting the importance of strong public-private partnerships in advancing national digital objectives. In response, the Ministry reiterated its readiness to support and collaborate on initiatives that position digital technology as a driver of socio-economic development in Burkina Faso.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting digital innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development as part of the broader national agenda for digital transition.
