Force-N Sénégal and Mastercard Foundation Partner to Boost Youth Digital Skills in Yoff
The FORCEN initiative focuses on three main pillars: strengthening digital skills, supporting professional placement, and promoting local digital entrepreneurship.
As part of its ongoing community outreach and youth empowerment agenda, Force-N Sénégal, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, held its first communal youth meeting in the Commune of Yoff. The event took place at the Université Numérique Cheikh Hamidou Kane (UN-CHK) and marked a key step in bringing the FORCEN initiative directly to local communities.
The meeting served as a platform for young people in Yoff to learn about the various programs and services offered by Force-N Sénégal, a digital inclusion initiative under the UN-CHK framework. Participants engaged in interactive discussions on how technology can shape their professional futures and open up new opportunities in the digital economy.
The FORCEN initiative focuses on three main pillars: strengthening digital skills, supporting professional placement, and promoting local digital entrepreneurship. Through these efforts, Force-N Sénégal aims to equip Senegalese youth with the tools, knowledge, and connections they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The gathering also reinforced Force-N Sénégal’s proximity-based approach, emphasizing direct engagement with communities to understand local challenges and co-create solutions that respond to their needs.
Organizers expressed their appreciation to Mr. Mayor Seydina Issa Laye Sambe and the Commune of Yoff for their support in hosting the event. The successful meeting highlighted a shared commitment to fostering digital empowerment, innovation, and employment opportunities for young people across Senegal.
