The new state-of-the-art facility aims to bridge the digital divide in education by empowering teachers with digital literacy skills and fostering ICT integration in classrooms.

MTN South Africa,  through the MTN SA Foundation  in partnership with the Department of Basic Education (DBE ), has unveiled a Teacher Training Multimedia Centre of Excellence at the Tlhabane Resource Centre in the Bojanala District, North West — one of the country’s top-performing educational regions.

The new state-of-the-art facility aims to bridge the digital divide in education by empowering teachers with digital literacy skills and fostering ICT integration in classrooms. It is designed to equip educators with the tools and training necessary to improve teaching outcomes and inspire technology-driven learning.

Working alongside district offices and accredited training partners such as SchoolNet SA, the initiative emphasizes sustainability and scalability, ensuring that digital transformation in education reaches areas where it is needed most.

MTN SA Foundation’s latest investment underscores its commitment to empowering educators as catalysts for inclusive and future-ready education in South Africa.
