Guinea Takes Major Step for Digital Inclusion with E-Sport Federation Launch

The Ministère des Postes, Télécommunications et de l’Economie Numérique (MPTEN) announced the official launch of the E-Sport Federation of Guinea last night, marking a significant step for the nation’s digital and youth engagement sectors.
Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy, Madame Rose Pola Pricemou, attended the launch ceremony alongside various government officials and key stakeholders from the digital, sports, and cultural communities.
The initiative is hailed as an important move toward recognizing e-sport as a sector of the future. It is expected to combine digital inclusion, innovation, creativity, and economic opportunities for Guinean youth.
In her remarks, Minister Pricemou stressed the necessity of supporting these emerging dynamics, calling for the mobilization of partners and sponsors, and encouraging the country’s young population to fully embrace the opportunities presented by e-sports.
The Ministry congratulated the organizers and the management team of the new federation for this promising development, which aligns with the national goal of fostering an inclusive digital sector that trains youth and creates value.
