The Ministry of Education of Zambia  has entered into a strategic partnership with Twikatane eV/CDT Group Germany through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing educational transformation and international cooperation. The agreement, signed at the Ministry’s headquarters on October 10, marks a significant step toward strengthening Zambia’s education system through global collaboration and knowledge exchange.

During the signing ceremony, Dr. Kelvin Mambwe, Permanent Secretary for Education Services, reaffirmed education’s pivotal role in driving national development. He emphasized that through education, training, and skills development, nations can unlock their citizens’ full potential, fostering innovation, productivity, and inclusive growth. The MoU aligns with the New Dawn Government’s vision to invest in human capital, ensuring that education remains a cornerstone of Zambia’s socio-economic progress.

The partnership focuses on digital training, knowledge exchange, and skills enhancement, supporting Zambia’s broader educational transformation agenda. Dr. Mambwe assured that the Ministry would provide full policy and technical support to ensure the agreement yields tangible results, such as improving learning quality, increasing access to education, and strengthening teacher and learner capacities across the country.

Representing Twikatane eV/CDT Group Germany, Ms. Maria Branchetti expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting that it would empower Zambians through the integration of German expertise in education, digital learning, and social development. The partnership is expected to bring innovative practices and advanced training methodologies to Zambia’s education sector, promoting international standards and cross-cultural cooperation.
