The agreement was formalized during the ongoing Cybersecurity Conference, which brought together government representatives, international partners, and technology experts to discuss strategies for safeguarding national digital infrastructure.

The Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services  has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cyberus Technology Company,  a Russian cybersecurity firm, marking a new phase of collaboration in strengthening Zimbabwe’s digital security landscape. The agreement was formalized during the ongoing Cybersecurity Conference, which brought together government representatives, international partners, and technology experts to discuss strategies for safeguarding national digital infrastructure.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Russian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Mr. Nikolai Vladimirovich Krasilnikov, underscoring the growing cooperation between Zimbabwe and Russia in technology and cybersecurity development. Through this partnership, Cyberus Technology will work closely with the Ministry to support the creation of a robust cybersecurity framework tailored to Zimbabwe’s evolving digital ecosystem.

Cyberus Technology has already been a key contributor to the Ministry’s Cybersecurity Training Programme, which has successfully trained over 3,000 young men and women in essential digital safety and data protection skills. This initiative aims to build local capacity and strengthen national resilience against cyber threats through education and professional development.

As part of the conference activities, the Ministry also recognized excellence among participants by awarding certificates to the top ten trainees, celebrating their dedication and achievement in mastering cybersecurity competencies. These individuals represent a new generation of digital defenders who will contribute to protecting Zimbabwe’s information systems and digital economy.

The collaboration with Cyberus Technology aligns with the Ministry’s broader goal of enhancing cyber resilience, digital inclusion, and secure innovation across the nation. It reflects Zimbabwe’s growing commitment to international cooperation in cybersecurity and its drive to equip citizens with the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
