Egypt Launches CREATIVA x MINT Tech Hackathon to Foster Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The hackathon is organized under the patronage of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Egyptian Gulf Bank, with technical support from Startup Factory.
The Digital Egypt Creativity Centers (Creativa), in cooperation with the MINT platform of the Egyptian Gulf Bank, has announced the launch of the CREATIVA x MINT Tech Hackathon, an initiative aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation across Egypt.
The hackathon is organized under the patronage of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Egyptian Gulf Bank, with technical support from Startup Factory. The event will run for three days across four key cities — Alexandria, Ismailia, Tanta, and Mansoura — providing a platform for tech-driven startups and young innovators to collaborate, design, and build creative solutions to real-world challenges.
The CREATIVA x MINT Tech Hackathon is part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to foster a dynamic digital economy and empower youth through innovation and entrepreneurship. Participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from industry experts, and network with investors and ecosystem partners supporting early-stage startups.
At the end of the hackathon, cash prizes totaling EGP 180,000 will be awarded to the top-performing teams across all provinces. The first-place winners in each location will receive EGP 20,000, the second-place winners will receive EGP 15,000, and the third-place winners will receive EGP 10,000. In addition, all participants — whether from startups or with innovative ideas — will receive a free bank account from the Egyptian Gulf Bank, reinforcing the partnership’s commitment to financial inclusion and startup support.
