The initiative aims to equip participants with practical digital skills essential for thriving in today’s technology-driven economy.

The Women Environmental Programme (WEP) has officially launched the ICT Skill Development Programme for the first cohort under the WomenPower2030 Project, marking a significant step toward empowering women and persons with disabilities through digital inclusion.

The initiative aims to equip participants with practical digital skills essential for thriving in today’s technology-driven economy. By fostering equal access to digital tools and opportunities, the programme seeks to close the gender and ability gap in the ICT sector while promoting inclusive economic participation.

Through targeted training and mentorship, the programme provides participants with hands-on learning experiences designed to enhance employability, innovation, and self-reliance. It aligns with the broader goals of the WomenPower2030 Project, which focuses on advancing gender equality, economic empowerment, and sustainable development through capacity building and technology.

The successful launch of this first cohort demonstrates WEP’s ongoing commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that women and persons with disabilities are active contributors to the global digital economy.
