Kenya and Israel Partner on Cybersecurity, Tech Exchange to Accelerate Digital Economy

October 28, 2025
1 min read

This high-level engagement underscores Kenya's commitment to working closely with global stakeholders and partners to unlock the full potential of its ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

Hon. William Kabogo Gitau held a pleasureable meeting with the Israeli Ambassador, H.E. Gideon Behar, who paid him a courtesy call at the Ministry Headquarters earlier today. This high-level engagement underscores Kenya’s commitment to working closely with global stakeholders and partners to unlock the full potential of its ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

The core of the discussions centered on strengthening the long-standing relationship between Kenya and the State of Israel, a partnership built on mutual respect and shared development goals. Specific areas of collaboration were explored, including cybersecurity research, technological exchange, and digital skilling. These focus points are crucial as Kenya expands digital connectivity and actively pursues a knowledge-based economy.

A significant portion of the conversation was dedicated to economic opportunities, particularly joint innovation and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) ventures between firms from both countries. Hon. Kabogo emphasized that as the country continues to roll out digital infrastructure and initiatives, the government is actively seeking ways to partner with various entities to fast-track digital skilling for Kenyans. This training is essential to ensure citizens are equipped to benefit fully from the new economic opportunities these initiatives provide.
