Namibia’s ICT Ministry and World Bank Collaborate to Advance National Digital Strategy
The engagement marks an important step toward accelerating Namibia’s efforts to achieve inclusive and sustainable digital growth.
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) of Namibia held a consultative meeting with representatives from the World Bank to explore potential support for implementing the country’s National Digital Strategy.
The session, led by Interim Executive Director Linda Aipinge, brought together key stakeholders, including World Bank Senior Digital Development Specialist Siddhartha Raja, Senior Digital Development Specialist in the Office of the Prime Minister Paul Seadan, and officials from the ministry.
Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration to advance the digital strategy’s roadmap, identified as a national priority. The World Bank team outlined its approach to helping countries design and execute implementation plans and establish the institutional frameworks needed to sustain digital transformation initiatives.
