AIFT, through its GenAI security arm Vulcan, offers market leading GenAI security, safety and compliance tools, with unique capabilities in Middle Eastern and Asian languages.

AIFT , the global cybersecurity and insurance technology company, is collaborating with the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA ) at King Saud University of Saudi Arabia to advance safe and responsible GenAI adoption. The partners announced the collaboration on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) summit in Riyadh.

AIFT, through its GenAI security arm Vulcan, offers market leading GenAI security, safety and compliance tools, with unique capabilities in Middle Eastern and Asian languages. CoEIA, led by Doctor Jalal Almuhtadi, is King Saud University’s non-profit center for developing and providing cybersecurity solutions. AIFT and CoEIA will work together to address regional and global challenges in GenAI and LLM governance and safety. In particular, they intend to collaborate on applied research in cybersecurity and moderation for Arabic language GenAI models and tools, considering not just linguistic requirements but also cultural sensitivities.

Earlier this year, AIFT appointed Professor Muhammad Khurram Khan of King Saud University, one of the founding members of CoEIA, to its International Advisory Board. Professor Khan is a global thought leader and influencer in cybersecurity. His pioneering work over the past 25 years has played a defining role in advancing cybersecurity research, innovation, education, and digital policy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond.

“The Center is dedicated to being at the forefront of developments in information security. The emergence of GenAI presents huge opportunities but also cybersecurity risks. With their market-leading safety and security tools and focus on the Arabic language, AIFT is the ideal partner to collaborate with us as we research and tackle these risks.”

Dr. Jalal Almuhtadi, Director of the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, King Saud University

“We are excited to work with one of Saudi Arabia’s most prestigious universities to super charge our work in GenAI security, particularly for the Arabic speaking market. Since appointing Professor Khan to our International Advisory Board, we have benefitted from his deep cybersecurity expertise and knowledge of the Saudi Arabian ecosystem.”

Alvin Kwock, Co-founder and CEO, AIFT

“We are delighted to partner with AIFT on GenAI security, an area that requires urgent research globally and here in Saudi Arabia. I am extremely impressed with AIFT’s Vulcan security, safety and compliance tools, especially their focus on non-English languages such as Arabic. I believe that this announcement is just the beginning of the potential collaboration.”

Professor Muhammad Khurram Khan, Professor of Cybersecurity, the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, King Saud University
