This engagement reflects Sierra Leone’s broader vision to build a resilient, transparent, and technology-driven governance framework, reinforcing the nation’s position as a regional leader in digital transformation.

The Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Madam Salima Monorma Bah, today welcomed Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to China, Dr. Abubakarr Karim, alongside a delegation of global blockchain experts from Sovereign Infrastructure for Global Nations (S.I.G.N.) and Felei TechCity.

The visit underscores the Government of Sierra Leone’s ongoing commitment to leveraging emerging technologies—particularly blockchain—to enhance transparency, trust, and efficiency in public service delivery. By exploring secure digital infrastructure, the Ministry aims to advance accountability and innovation within the country’s growing digital economy.

Over the coming days, the visiting experts will engage with government stakeholders, private sector partners, and technology innovators to identify practical applications of blockchain across key sectors. Discussions will center on how distributed ledger technologies can support data integrity, digital identity management, and public record systems, while also enabling new opportunities for digital inclusion and economic modernization.

This engagement reflects Sierra Leone’s broader vision to build a resilient, transparent, and technology-driven governance framework, reinforcing the nation’s position as a regional leader in digital transformation.
